FSX Vallance By Gatwick Scenery

Vallance By Gatwick Scenery UK. No. 12 add-on in the `A Day on the Farm' Series. Vallance By-Ways Gatwick is home to the Gatwick Aviation Museum and has many aircraft from an Avro Shackleton to the small Ercoupe built way back in the late 1930's and is still flying from Rochester, Kent, today. Does not include an awful lot of scenery due to the nearness of Gatwick Airport, but it's certainly an unusual field to land on. Plus you get a load of road traffic and a 'new' sound. By Neil Birch.

INSTALLATION

This is a continuation in the series of addon grass strips so YOU MUST HAVE ALREADY DOWNLOADED A DAY ON THE FARM and A DAY ON THE FARM-2 plus all the other grass strips I have produced for all the necessary scenery and texture files plus you will also need UKVFR Addon and RWY12.

Includes a `NEW' sound file.

Aligned for and to compliment Justflight/horizon VFR SCENERY.

Unzip the zip file vbwg.zip into an empty directory.

You will now have 3 folders \scenery \sounds \effects.

Some files will inevitably be duplicated occasionally, you will be prompted to overwrite , it is IMPORTANT to only overwrite OLDER files. As one or two of the files have been updated.

Copy all the SCENERY files *.bgl and the text files (not the folder) into your original ADOTF Scenery folder, overwrite any files when prompted.

copy the effect file into c:\program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator X\Effects.

copy the sound file into c:\program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator X\Sounds.

Airfields can be selected from your World-Goto Airport menu.

I have incuded extracts (with permission) from Bryan Lockyears book ` FARM STRIPS AND PRIVATE AIRFIELDS' guide.

In this latest update, all of the terrain settings are as accurate as possible, all the fields have sound (you will have to download the `Sounds Update' Seperately) and now you also have road traffic, its not brilliant but there's only so many hours in the day.
