Arcata Airport (KACV) scenery refreshes the Arcata/Eureka, California airfield with accurately repositioned runways, taxiways, and parking based on real-world coordinates, plus added stock objects for a fuller ramp environment. Built with Airport Design Editor for FSX and requires default scenery objects set to at least Normal.

A single-engine aircraft with registration N123MS flies above a small airport and town surrounded by green hills and scattered clouds.

Arcata Airport (KACV), Arcata/Eureka, California (CA). Taxiways, runways and parking areas were updated using real world coordinates through Google Earth. A few objects from the default FSX scenery libraries were also added. By Phillip Coyle.

This is the next addition to my Northern California airport series. This updates Arcata airport in Arcata/Eureka. Taxiways, runways, and parking were updated using real world coordinates through Google Earth. A few objects from the default FSX scenery libraries were also added.

Thanks to those of you who have e-mailed me and shared your thoughts about these scenery packages. It pleases me to know what people are enjoying them, as that is what my goal is. People have shown interest in my Nothern California sceneries, which I was not planning on making very many of. Becuase of this interest, I have decided to add more airports to the Northern California series, this being one of them. The overall goal is to update regional sized airports throughout all of California. Once again, thanks for all your support, it means a lot to me.

This packages uses scenery from the default FSX libraries. In order for the majority of these objects to appear, you must have scenery settings of at least NORMAL.

Installation
==============

Installation is quick and easy:

1. Copy the two BGL files (KACV_ADE.BGL and KACV_ADE_CVX.BGL) Into your Flight Simulator X / Addon Scenery / Scenery folder.

2. That's it! Load up Flight Simulator X and changes will be present.

Uninstallation
================

Uninstallation is even quicker and easier than installing:

1. Remove the two BGL files (KACV_ADE.BGL and KACV_ADE_CVX.BGL) from your Flight Simulator X / Addon Scenery / Scenery folder.

2. Load Flight Simulator X and changes will be present.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.
Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

Finding the scenery

Use these coordinates to fly directly to this location once the mod is installed.
