FSX Damascus International Airport Scenery

Damascus International Airport (OSDI) brings Syria’s main gateway to life in FSX with a detailed gMax-built terminal area tuned for smooth performance, an updated AFCAD, and authentic apron layout. Animated jetways and hangar doors add activity, with optional NAV2-controlled door triggers for extra immersion during ground operations.

Installation:

1. Unzip the zip file in your main FSx ADDON SCENERY folder

2. After this,run your FSx and go in the sceneries library to add and check the new scenery:"OSDI_Damascus_Airport". Don't forgot to restart FS for it take the change, if you want see your new scenery. After restart FS search "OSDI_Damascus_Airport" in your flights library and choose on of the situations at OSDI.

3. This scenery is very detailled and created by gMax for maximum frame rate, to see alls littles details use: EXTREMLY COMPLEXE option in FS ,but I recommand to you don't use the FS scenery shadow option when you flying on this airport to have better performances, for the non power computer users I recommand to you decrease the FS scenery complexity in their: FS OPTION menu.

4. Scenery has default maving gates. For starting gates move, use crtl+j key combination. That's it, Enjoy flying to: "OSDI".

5. Scenery also has moving hangar doors. For open hangar doors which located runway 05R side set NAV2 frequance to 114.50 Mhz and for other blue hangars set NAV2 112.00 Mhz.

This archive file is provided as FREEWARE and can be used in any non-profit making package. The archive can be freely distributed but must remain complete and unaltered. Use all files at your own risk. The author of this package is not liable for any problems caused by these files.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

    Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.

  3. Activate in Scenery Library

    In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.

  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

    Hi,

    I have just installed the fsx_dmsc.zip file as instructed, ran my fsx, but there was no scenery named OSDI_Damascus_Airport to check!!!

    I tried to add it manually, also no results.

    Can you help?

    Im running on Windows 8.1 OS.
