FSX Marlboro Airport Scenery

Marlboro Airport (9B1) scenery upgrades the Massachusetts field in FSX with refined aprons, roads, and taxiways aligned to real-world diagrams, plus replaced stock structures, extra hangars and nearby area buildings. Static vehicles and aircraft, light poles, fences, and other details deepen the ramp environment for more immersive GA operations.

Marlboro Airport (9B1), Marlborough, Massachusetts (MA). Features adjusted aprons roads and taxiways. Most default buildings have been replaced and additional buildings added. Also adds some area buildings plus static vehicles, light poles, fences and more. By Jim Cook.

Marlboro Airport Scenery.

Marlboro Airport Scenery.

By request, here is an improved version of the stock Marlboro Airport. I adjusted and added aprons, roads and taxiways to more closely match real life. I replaced most default buildings and added additional buildings. I also added several buildings in the area, such as barns, houses, apartment buildings, and gas station. I added static vehicles, aircraft, lightpoles, fences and other filler objects.

This is one of those small, interesting airports that are scattered all over the country. There is a road at one end of the runway, and trees at the other. It can make for some challenging take-offs and landings. Works best with Ultimate Terrain X.

I use Ultimate Terrain and FSGenesis landclass but they are not required. All objects are stock FSX so no additional object libraries are needed. Updates made using AirNav diagrams and Google Earth to be as accurate as possible. All work done with Flight 1's AFX program and Instant Scenery.

INSTALLATION:

Extract the two files 9B1_AFX_JC.bgl and 9B1_JC.bgl into your Addon Scenery/Scenery folder, re-start FSX and enjoy.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
  3. Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.
  4. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
