FSX Abilene Regional Airport Scenery

Abilene Regional Airport (KABI) in Texas gets a faithful refresh for FSX with reworked aprons and taxiways, American Eagle gate assignments, and extensively replaced buildings. A relocated control tower, added hangars, parking lots, light poles, plus static aircraft and vehicles bring the field to life using stock objects with no required dependencies.

Abilene Regional Airport Scenery.

Here is an improved version of the stock Abilene Regional Airport. I added and adjusted aprons and taxiways to more closely resemble real life. I assigned American Eagle to the gates. I replaced nearly every default building, moved the control tower, added additional buildings, parking lots, static planes and vehicles, and light poles.

American Eagle aircraft are maintained at Abilene Regional.

I use Ultimate Terrain and FSGenesis landclass but they are not required. All objects are stock FSX so no additional object libraries are needed. Updates made using AirNav diagrams and Google Earth to be as accurate as possible. All work done with Flight 1's AFX program and Instant Scenery.

INSTALLATION:

Extract the two files KABI_AFX_JC.bgl and KABI_JC.bgl into your Addon Scenery/Scenery folder, re-start FSX and enjoy.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
  3. Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.
  4. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
