Explore Bulgaria X delivers a detailed LOD10 terrain mesh that sharpens mountain ridgelines and valley contours across Bulgaria and extends into Macedonia, parts of Serbia and Romania, and northern Greece. Built from ASTER Global DEM data at roughly 38 meters per pixel, it enhances VFR navigation and fits comfortably on average-performance systems in FSX.

VFR Series Explore Bulgaria X mesh of Bulgaria LOD10. The included file is a first step of project named VFR SERIES "EXPLORE BULGARIA". The mesh is constructed on the base of recently released Earth DEM by NASA and Japan MinIstry of Economy, Trade and Industry, so called ASTER global DEM from 29.06.2009. The mesh includes the whole Bulgaria territory, Macedonia, about 40% of Serbia, about 60% of Romania and the northern part of Greece (close to Aegean Sea). Resolution used for compilation is 38 Meters/pixel (LOD10 and QMID12). You are able to use this mesh bgl file for PC with average perfomance. By Sergey Stoyanov.

The included file concered about Bulgaria mesh development as a first step of project named - VFR SERIES "EXPLORE BULGARIA".

The mesh consists whole Bulgaria territory, Macedonia, appr.40% of Serbia,appr.60% of Romania and northen part of Greece(close to Aegean sea).Resolution used for compilation is 38 Meters/pixel(LOD10 and QMID12).You are able to use this mesh bgl file for PC with average perfomance.

The ASTER global DEM is owned by NASA USA and METI Japan and produced on the base of this information file is FREEWARE.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.
