Mafeking International Airport (FAMM) brings Mafikeng, South Africa to life in FSX with custom-built terminal buildings and hangars, plus added lighting and realistic apron tire marks for more convincing short-hop operations from Johannesburg or Sun City. A neat interactive touch lets the green hangar door open by tuning 115.00 on NAV2.

Mafeking International Airport Scenery.

This is Mafikeng International Airport in South Africa.It is freeware and made from custom designed buildings and default FSX scenery librarys.Not the real thing but pretty close.The airport is ideal for short hops from Johannesburg and Sun City.Open the green hangar by setting your nav2 to 115.00 It also includes some freeware designers sceneryfor the lights and the tyre marks.Thanks to them.

Instructions:

1.Unzip Mafikeng.zip to a temp folder.

2.Copy the "FAMM_Mafikeng" folder to your FSX/scenery folder.

3.Run FSX.

4.On the main page go to "settings".

5.Now click on "scenery library".

6.Now click on "Add area" and search for the scenery folder.

7.Double click on the scenery folder and look for the"FAMM_Mafikeng" folder.

7.NB !!!!!! click on this folder only once ! and then click on "OK".

8.The scenery will now load !

9.Go to free flight and choose "FAMM" to start your flight !

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

    Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.

  3. Activate in Scenery Library

    In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.

  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
