Kilimanjaro International Airport (HTKJ) brings Tanzania’s gateway beneath Mount Kilimanjaro to life in FSX with custom-designed hangars and terminal buildings for a more authentic apron and approach environment. The freeware scenery suits regional operations and short hops across East Africa, including routes to Entebbe and Kigali.

Kilimanjaro International Airport (HTKJ), in Tanzania, Africa. It is freeware and made from custom designed hangars and buildings. It is situated at the foot of Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain on the African continent. By Jacques Botha and Frits Beyer.

Ideal for short hops to ENtebbe and Kigali.

Instructions :

1.Unzip Kilimanjaro_X.zip to a temp folder.

2.Copy the "HTKJ_Kilimanjaro" folder to your FSX/scenery folder.

3.Run FSX.

4.On the main page go to "settings".

5.Now click on "scenery library".

6.Now click on "Add area" and search for the scenery folder.

7.Double click on the scenery folder and look for the"HTKJ_Kilimanjaro" folder.

7.NB !!!!!! click on this folder only once ! and then click on "OK".

8.The scenery will now load !

9.Go to free flight and choose "HTKJ" to start your flight !

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

    Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.

  3. Activate in Scenery Library

    In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.

  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
