FSX Edmonton City Center Airport Scenery

Edmonton City Centre Airport (CYXD) scenery refresh brings the field in line with its real-world wind-down in FSX, closing redundant runway and taxiway segments, removing the Runway 34 ILS while keeping localizer structures, and expanding parking where it remains active. Updated landclass improves city and countryside textures around south Edmonton, Fort Saskatchewan, and Sherwood Park.

Scenery Edmonton City Center Airport (CYXD), Alberta, Canada, v1.0. Edmonton City CenterAirport CYXD is in the process of closing down to only one runway. This scenery closes the runway and taxiways and adds additional parking where it exists in real life. Parking on the east side of the airport still exists for now at least until the runway is physically removed. The ILS aproach for runway 34 has been removed but the localizer buildings still remain. Adds city and country landclass where apropriate and missing for South Edmonton, Fort Saskatchewan, and Sherwood Park. By Rick Lackey.

This is a compilation of several changes I made to the default scenery around Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I've added city and country landclass where apropriate and missing for South Edmonton, Fort Saskatchewan, and Sherwood Park.

I've used this scenery for a week and havn't noticed any major problems, but if some persist please let me know by email.

Install:

Copy all CYXD folder into your fsx/addon scenery folder and activate with the scenery library.

To uninstall simply deactivate this folder and delete it.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.

Use these coordinates to fly directly to this location once the mod is installed.
