This flight simulator add-on contains the Boeing 747-400C (Cargo) plane. The add-on is compatible with Flight Simulator 2004.

The Boeing 747-400C was developed as a variant of the Boeing 747-400 to be used as a cargo freighter. The common name for the plane is the 747 Dreamlifter and had its first flight on September 9th 2006 and was introduced the next year.

It has a single exclusive use and that is to transport aircraft parts for another one of Boeing’s planes, the 787. After the aircraft began service delivery time for the Boeing 787’s wings, which are build in Japan, was reduced from thirty days down to less than nine hours.

The plane has a very unique shape in that it is a wide-body aircraft. The unusual shape of the aircraft has also drawn attention to itself and some have gone as far as drawing comparisons to Oscar Mayer’s wiener mobile.

Due to the special nature of the aircraft only four were made. With cargo of seven pallets the plane can hold up to two hundred and sixty six people. The plane can also carry a total space of 10,422 cubic feet of cargo.

The wing span is a massive 211 feet while the overall length is 231 feet, not much longer than the wingspan itself.

In November of 2006 a small Cessna 172 was being used for a training flight and encountered the turbulence that was caused from the Boeing 747-400C. The Cessna instantly lost control and made a right bank of 90-degrees and came with 150 feet of the ground before the instructor was able to regain control of the aircraft.
