Airbus A350 instruments in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 usually disappear because the displays are unpowered or dimmed, cockpit geometry is being hidden by view-dependent model culling, or the aircraft package, livery or another add-on is conflicting. Update the aircraft, test its default livery with add-ons disabled, then check electrical power and brightness.
What exactly has disappeared from the A350 cockpit?
The visible symptom determines which fix to use; a black display and a physically missing instrument are different faults.

How do you restore missing A350 instruments?
- Restart Microsoft Flight Simulator completely. Exit the simulator rather than returning only to the main menu. On a console, close the game instead of resuming a suspended session. Start a new flight rather than loading a saved flight that may contain a broken aircraft state.
- Test a runway start with the default livery. A runway start normally loads the aircraft powered and running. If the instruments appear there but not from a parking stand, the model is intact and the problem is the cold-and-dark procedure, panel state or electrical supply.
- Update the simulator and aircraft package. Check both the platform-level game update and the in-simulator content library. Our instructions explain how to update MSFS 2024 and its installed content. An updated simulator with an older aircraft package can still produce missing cockpit components.
- Confirm that the correct A350 build is installed. Use a package explicitly compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, or one whose publisher states that the MSFS 2020 build is supported in 2024. Do not assume every older aircraft or livery is compatible. You can check the A350 installation and package requirements before reinstalling anything.
- Check power and brightness. With a cold aircraft, establish battery and external or APU power as required by that A350, then allow its systems time to initialise. Turn the relevant display-brightness controls up. A screen set fully dim can look exactly like failed avionics.
- Reset the cockpit camera. Return to the standard pilot view, centre the viewpoint and use a normal zoom level. If an instrument reappears as the camera moves, this is model clipping or level-of-detail behaviour rather than an electrical problem. Remove custom camera modifications before testing again.
- Isolate Community-folder add-ons on PC. Close MSFS, temporarily rename or empty the
Communityfolder, then load the A350 with its default livery. Add A350 liveries, cockpit modifications and utility add-ons back in small groups. Duplicate aircraft packages and old liveries should be tested first because they can override model or layout data. - Reinstall only the affected package. Remove the A350 through the simulator's content library, restart MSFS and download it again. If other package content is also absent, use our steps to restore missing or disabled simulator content. Reinstalling the entire simulator should be the last resort.
Why do the instruments vanish only when the camera moves?
Instruments that disappear at a particular angle or zoom indicate camera clipping or incorrect model culling, not loss of electrical power. Reset the cockpit camera and test without camera, interior or livery modifications.
On PC, temporarily switch to TAA and disable frame generation as a diagnostic test. If that changes the behaviour, update the graphics driver and use the stable graphics configuration until the aircraft or simulator package is corrected. If cockpit textures are also failing, reduce texture resolution to test for video-memory pressure.
Why do A350 displays go black after take-off?
Displays that fail after the flight has started point to an electrical-state or aircraft-systems problem rather than missing model files. Check that the engine generators are online, the required buses remain powered and display brightness has not been assigned to an unwanted controller axis.
If the aircraft continues operating but every screen freezes at once, repeat the flight after a clean restart with external utilities and Community add-ons disabled. A repeatable failure at the same flight stage should be treated as an aircraft-package issue; a failure that disappears in the clean test identifies an add-on conflict.
Can an A350 livery make the instruments disappear?
An incorrectly packaged A350 livery can interfere with model references and make cockpit components vanish, even though a livery should normally change textures only. The decisive test is simple: load the same aircraft with its factory livery and no other A350 modifications.
A mistake we see constantly is reinstalling the whole simulator before making that comparison. If the default livery restores the instruments, remove or update the faulty livery; reinstalling MSFS will not repair that package.
