Get the Airbus A400M in MSFS 2024: where to find the included aircraft, how it is delivered and what to check if it is missing.
The Airbus A400M Atlas is included with every edition of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, including Standard, so you do not need to buy a separate add-on. Is the Airbus A400M included in MSFS 2024 Standard Edition?

Where do I find the A400M in MSFS 2024?
Use the Free Flight aircraft selector; Career Mode progression is not required to fly the A400M in Free Flight.
- Open Free Flight. Select the displayed aircraft tile to open the aircraft list.
- Clear active filters. A favourites, aircraft-class or manufacturer filter can hide an aircraft that you own.
- Search for
A400M. Searching by the model is more reliable than browsing categories. It may be displayed as the Airbus A400M Atlas. - Select the aircraft and livery. Choose your departure point and start the flight normally.
You should not need to find the aircraft in the Marketplace, redeem a code or install a third-party model.
Why is the A400M missing from my aircraft list?
A missing A400M is usually caused by the wrong simulator version, an aircraft-list filter or unavailable streamed content. Check these points in order:
- Confirm that you launched MSFS 2024. The A400M is a built-in aircraft in the 2024 simulator, not Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020.
- Reset every aircraft filter. Show all owned aircraft, then search only for
A400M. - Check the content library. Look among owned or included packages and ensure the A400M content is enabled. If the interface offers a local download option, installing it locally can help when using the simulator offline.
- Restore online content access. MSFS 2024 streams much of its content, so disabled online functionality, an interrupted connection or an incomplete content download can prevent an aircraft from loading correctly.
- Update and restart the simulator. Also confirm that the platform account has the entitlement used to access MSFS 2024.
- Test without PC add-ons. Temporarily remove Community packages if the A400M appears but has a blank cockpit, loading failure or duplicate entry. An outdated livery or aircraft modification can conflict with the included model.
Can I use an old A400M add-on or install new liveries?
Do not install an FSX A400M package into MSFS 2024. A mistake we see constantly is treating an old aircraft archive as a cross-simulator download; our compatibility explanation for legacy FSX aircraft covers why those models cannot simply be copied across.
On PC, you can add liveries made specifically for the included MSFS 2024 A400M. They change the paint scheme, not the underlying aircraft. Console users cannot manually copy packages into a Community folder, while PC users should verify that a livery explicitly supports this A400M model.
