Fix Aerosoft Toolbar Pushback Pro not working in MSFS by checking version support, installation, hidden panels, conflicts, brakes and chocks.
Aerosoft Toolbar Pushback Pro usually fails because the wrong simulator build is installed, its toolbar package did not load, an older Toolbar Pushback copy remains installed, or another pushback system is controlling the tug. In Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, first confirm that the installed release explicitly supports MSFS 2024.

How do I fix Toolbar Pushback Pro?
- Check the simulator version. Treat MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024 as separate installations with separate package locations. Do not copy a 2020 package into the 2024
Communityfolder and assume it is compatible. - Remove duplicate pushback packages. Uninstall or move out the older freeware Toolbar Pushback, abandoned versions of the same package and any duplicate Pro folders. The legacy and Pro editions should not be active together.
- Update or reinstall the add-on. Close Microsoft Flight Simulator completely, then use the installer or account application associated with the purchase. If it uses Aerosoft One, let that application update or reinstall the product rather than overwriting files manually.
- Verify the installation target. Simmers who have moved the simulator's package directory often install add-ons into an unused
Communityfolder. Confirm the installer points to the package location used by the simulator you actually launch. - Start MSFS in normal mode. Third-party toolbar packages do not load in Safe Mode. - Run a clean test. Leave Toolbar Pushback Pro installed but temporarily remove other third-party packages. Use a default aircraft at a default airport stand with adequate clearance. If it works, restore the other add-ons in small groups until the conflict returns.
- Test the controls and aircraft state. Remove wheel chocks through the aircraft's EFB or ground menu, release the parking brake only when instructed, and make sure a noisy toe-brake axis is not continually applying pressure.
Why does the tug connect but not move?
A connected but stationary tug nearly always means that the aircraft is being held or two pushback systems are issuing contradictory commands.
- Parking brake: follow the panel's request to set or release it; changing it too early can interrupt the sequence.
- Wheel chocks: some complex aircraft manage chocks through their own EFB, independently of the simulator's ground-services menu.
- Brake-axis noise: recalibrate the pedals or increase the dead zone if the brake indication flickers without pedal input.
- Competing services: do not use Toolbar Pushback Pro alongside ATC pushback, an aircraft's own pushback function, GSX or another tug utility.
- Airport scenery: custom stand geometry, static objects or cramped parking positions can obstruct the tug. A successful test at a stock airport points to a scenery-specific problem.
A mistake we see constantly is requesting the built-in ATC tug after starting a third-party pushback. Use one controller for the entire pushback, from tug connection through disconnection.
Does Toolbar Pushback Pro work in MSFS 2024?
Compatibility depends on the installed product build; an MSFS 2020 build is not automatically compatible with MSFS 2024. If the installer offers no MSFS 2024 target or the supplied documentation lists only MSFS 2020, stop troubleshooting brakes and controls—the package itself is the issue.

When should I reinstall or use another pushback method?
Reinstall Toolbar Pushback Pro when its icon remains absent during a clean, normal-mode test. If the panel loads and the tool works with default content, repeated reinstalls will not fix the problem; isolate the conflicting aircraft, scenery or ground-handling add-on instead.
