Will MSFS 2020 pushback tools work in MSFS 2024?
Not necessarily: an MSFS 2020 pushback package may load in MSFS 2024 yet still have broken toolbar controls, tug animations or aircraft-event handling.
Use a release that explicitly lists MSFS 2024 support. This matters most with older toolbar panels and external SimConnect utilities. GSX Pro users should install the build intended for their simulator rather than copying an old Community package across and assuming it is complete.
Aircraft compatibility matters as much as simulator compatibility. A tool may move a default aircraft correctly but conflict with an add-on airliner that has its own chocks, ground crew or electronic flight bag controls.
Does GSX Pro work on Xbox or PlayStation?

How do you prevent pushback add-on conflicts?
Use only one system to control the tug, then follow that system's brake, chock and disconnect sequence from beginning to end.
- Select one pushback controller. Do not request an ATC tug and then start GSX, Toolbar Pushback or an aircraft-native system. Two active controllers commonly produce duplicate tugs or a frozen aircraft.
- Clear aircraft restraints. Keep the parking brake set while the tug attaches, remove aircraft-controlled chocks and release the brake only when prompted. Some airliners model chocks separately from the simulator's parking brake.
- Start from the correct stand position. A badly placed parking spot or mismatched third-party airport profile can send the tug through buildings or turn it towards the terminal.
- Confirm the direction convention. Some tools describe where the aircraft's tail will move, not which way the tug's cab turns. Test at low speed if the interface is unclear.
- Complete the disconnect procedure. Set the parking brake, wait for the tug and bypass pin to clear, and only then close the panel or begin taxiing.
Why does the tug attach but not move?
A stationary tug usually means the parking brake or chocks are still set, another pushback system owns the aircraft, or the add-on has not completed its connection sequence.
- If two tugs appear, cancel every pushback request and restart with one tool.
- If the aircraft turns the wrong way, check whether the command refers to tail direction and inspect the airport's custom pushback profile.
- If nosewheel steering remains disabled, finish the tool's stop-and-disconnect sequence instead of merely closing its window.
- If an external utility stops responding, confirm that the simulator connection is active and test without other toolbar or SimConnect utilities.
Do you need a pushback add-on at all?
