See which Embraer aircraft work in MSFS 2024, from E-Jets to turboprops, with clear compatibility, platform and legacy-download advice.
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 does not bundle an Embraer in its core aircraft editions, but several are available as add-ons. The main choices are the E170, E175, E190 and E195 regional jets, with native MSFS offerings also covering the EMB-110, EMB-120 and Phenom 100; ERJ-145 options are much thinner.
Are any Embraer aircraft included with MSFS 2024?
No Embraer aircraft is included as a standard choice in the core MSFS 2024 editions. Our breakdown of the bundled MSFS 2024 aircraft covers what each edition supplies; an E-Jet, ERJ or Phenom requires a separate add-on.
Which Embraer add-ons are the practical choices?
The first-generation E-Jet family provides the broadest and most useful Embraer selection for MSFS 2024.
| Aircraft family | MSFS package situation | Best suited to |
|---|---|---|
| E170 and E175 | Commercial packages are available, principally from FlightSim Studio and Virtualcol. Confirm that the specific build supports MSFS 2024. | Short-haul regional airline operations |
| E190 and E195 | Commercial packages are available from the same main product families. These are first-generation E-Jets unless the package explicitly says E2. | Higher-capacity regional and short-haul routes |
| ERJ-135, ERJ-140 and ERJ-145 | Native MSFS availability is considerably more limited, and search results frequently mix in FSX aircraft or repaints. | Classic regional-jet operations |
| EMB-110 Bandeirante | A commercial native MSFS model is available from NextGen Simulations; check its stated MSFS 2024 support before purchase. | Older commuter turboprop flying |
| EMB-120 Brasilia | A commercial MSFS model is available from Carenado, although platform and MSFS 2024 availability can differ. | Pressurised regional turboprop routes |
| Phenom 100 | A native MSFS business-jet package is available from Cockspur. Compatibility must be checked against the simulator and platform named in its listing. | Light corporate-jet operations |
The ERJ-145 needs particular care because many search results lead to old simulator files rather than a flyable MSFS 2024 aircraft. Our guide to ERJ-135, ERJ-140 and ERJ-145 availability explains the distinction.
Freeware is also easy to misidentify. A livery, static model or abandoned development preview is not a complete aircraft; see our assessment of freeware E190 options for MSFS before downloading one.
Which Embraer E-Jet should I choose?
Choose the airframe for the routes you intend to fly, then choose the package according to its systems depth rather than its screenshot quality.
- E170 or E175: the natural choice for regional schedules, shorter sectors and lower passenger capacity. The E175 has the widest appeal for North American-style regional operations.
- E190 or E195: better for mainline-style short-haul routes where a larger cabin and heavier aircraft feel are wanted.
- Systems-focused package: compare the custom FMS, lateral and vertical navigation, autoflight behaviour, electronic flight bag and update record. Do not assume every cockpit switch or flight-management page is simulated.
- Simpler package: suitable when easy setup, modest system demands and casual route flying matter more than detailed airline procedures.
An E190 is not an E190-E2, and an E195 is not an E195-E2. The E2 generation has different engines, wings and cockpit details, so only buy an E2 if the product description names that exact variant. A repaint cannot convert a first-generation model into an E2.
Will an MSFS 2020 Embraer work in MSFS 2024?
An MSFS 2020 Embraer may work in MSFS 2024, but compatibility is package-specific and should never be inferred solely from the words “for MSFS”.
- Check the named simulator: look for explicit MSFS 2024 support or a publisher-supplied compatibility update.
- Check the aircraft type: make sure the download contains the base aircraft rather than only liveries, sounds or cockpit textures.
- Use the supported installer: an older installer may target the MSFS 2020
Communityfolder instead of the MSFS 2024 package location. - Test without conflicting modifications: outdated avionics, shared cockpit libraries and old liveries can cause blank displays, missing textures or a failure to load.
- Verify the platform: PC can use supported external packages, but Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 require a version released through their MSFS 2024 marketplace. PC files cannot be sideloaded onto a console.
Why will an FSX Embraer not install in MSFS 2024?
FSX aircraft cannot be converted to MSFS 2024 by copying their folders into Community. Their model, gauge and flight-dynamics formats belong to an older simulator architecture.
A mistake we see constantly is downloading an attractive legacy package without reading its simulator field. For example, our older E170, E175, E190 and E195 pack with virtual cockpits is explicitly for FSX. It remains useful to FSX users, but it is not an MSFS 2024 Embraer add-on.
