Fix iniBuilds A350 freezes in MSFS 2024 by isolating liveries and add-ons, repairing its package, clearing cache and reducing memory pressure.
The iniBuilds A350 usually freezes in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 because its aircraft package or livery is outdated, another add-on conflicts with it, cached data is damaged, or a detailed airport exhausts available memory. Update the A350, isolate add-ons, test the default livery, clear the rolling cache and lower memory-heavy settings.
How can I tell whether the A350 or MSFS 2024 is freezing?
The decisive test is whether the entire simulator stops responding or only the A350's cockpit systems stop updating. Note what remains active when the problem occurs, then use the matching test below.
| Symptom | Likely problem area | Best first test |
|---|---|---|
| Displays and controls freeze, but sound and the camera continue | A350 avionics, aircraft state or an add-on conflict | Start a new flight with the default livery and no external utilities |
| The simulator hangs while selecting or loading the A350 | Damaged package, duplicate installation or incompatible livery | Remove custom liveries and verify that only one A350 installation exists |
| The whole simulator freezes at a large airport or during approach | VRAM, system memory, scenery, traffic or streaming pressure | Repeat the flight at a default airport with reduced traffic and graphics settings |
| Other aircraft freeze in the same situation | Simulator, scenery, cache, driver or system-wide problem | Test a stock aircraft at a default airport |
A one-off pause after an aircraft update may be caused by systems initialisation or module compilation. A repeated indefinite hang at the same stage is not normal and should be treated as a reproducible fault.
What is the quickest way to fix an A350 freeze?
Use a controlled baseline before reinstalling anything. Changing several settings and packages together makes it impossible to identify the cause.
- Restart everything cleanly. Fully close MSFS 2024 rather than resuming a suspended session, then restart the PC or console. This clears stale online sessions and aircraft processes left in memory.
- Install every offered simulator and A350 update. Check the in-sim content library and the installer through which your copy was installed. Do not keep Marketplace and external-installer copies of the same aircraft together. If freezing began after a simulator update, follow our post-update package, cache and add-on checks.
- Remove likely conflicts. On PC, temporarily move third-party packages out of the
Communityfolder. On any platform, disable custom A350 liveries and optional scenery. Close traffic injectors, ground-service tools, replay utilities and hardware bridge applications, then test the default A350 livery. - Create a fresh test flight. Use a default airport, clear weather, low traffic and a new flight rather than a saved session. If this works, add the original airport, livery and utilities back one at a time until the freeze returns.
- Reset the rolling cache. Delete it through the simulator's data settings, restart MSFS 2024 and run one test with the rolling cache disabled. Recreate it later if required. Do not delete cloud saves or controller profiles as an initial troubleshooting step.
- Reduce memory pressure. Lower texture resolution if VRAM is close to its limit. Reduce terrain and object detail, airport traffic and AI aircraft if freezes occur at complex hubs. Removing detailed third-party scenery is a better test than reducing every setting at once.
- Reinstall the A350 only. Remove the aircraft using the same library or installer that supplied it, restart the simulator, then install one clean copy without liveries. Our A350 package and clean-reinstallation checks cover duplicate packages, install locations and incompatible liveries in more detail.
Once the clean aircraft works, restore add-ons in small groups. A common mistake we see is putting the entire Community folder back at once, which immediately restores the conflict without identifying it.
Why do only the A350 cockpit screens freeze?
If the camera, audio and outside world keep moving while the PFD, ND, MCDU or other controls stop responding, the simulator itself has not fully frozen. The fault is more likely in the aircraft's avionics module, saved state, flight-plan data or an integration that communicates with the cockpit.
Start a new flight without loading a saved session or persistent aircraft state. If the freeze happens immediately after importing a route, test with no imported plan or a short, simple route entered afresh. If that prevents the problem, retain the original route and exact sequence of actions because they identify a repeatable aircraft-system trigger.
Randomly cycling batteries, generators and avionics is not a reliable repair for a frozen high-fidelity airliner. Reload the flight after updating and isolating the aircraft instead.
Should I reinstall the A350 or all of MSFS 2024?
Reinstall the aircraft first when a stock aircraft completes the same test flight successfully. A full simulator reinstall is rarely justified for an A350-only freeze and will not remove a conflicting Community package if that folder remains in place.
If stock aircraft also freeze with third-party content disabled, move to simulator-wide diagnosis. Our MSFS 2024 mid-flight freeze troubleshooting covers streaming, rolling-cache faults, scenery, resource limits and platform-specific checks. A freeze that follows one airport points towards scenery or memory pressure; one that follows every aircraft points away from the A350.
