The FlyByWire A380X does include a modelled double-deck passenger cabin in Microsoft Flight Simulator. If it looks empty or absent, the usual cause is the camera mode, a setting that reduces cabin detail, or an incomplete or conflicting installation—not the need for a separate cabin add-on. Check it from an interior camera first.

Does the FlyByWire A380X include a passenger cabin?

Yes, the passenger cabin is built into the A380X aircraft package. Both decks have modelled interior geometry; our A380X feature summary and cabin screenshots show what should be present.

The modelled cabin and populated seats are separate matters. Seeing seats, galleys and other interior fittings without visible passengers does not mean the cabin is broken. MSFS does not automatically place animated passengers in every aircraft interior.

How do I enter the A380X passenger cabin?

Use an interior or cockpit camera and translate it aft from the flight deck. The external, Showcase or drone camera may display only the exterior model, a simplified interior shell or geometry culled for performance.

  1. Let the aircraft finish loading. Start parked and wait until the cockpit displays and flyPad have initialised.
  2. Select the cockpit camera. Do not judge the cabin by flying a drone camera through the fuselage; surfaces can disappear because the exterior model was not designed to be viewed from inside.
  3. Move the cockpit viewpoint aft. Search the MSFS control assignments for cockpit camera translation controls, then move backwards through the flight-deck doorway. Exact bindings depend on the control profile.
  4. Save a custom camera. Once positioned on either deck, save the view so that camera limits and awkward movement do not have to be handled on every flight.
  5. Check the flyPad options. If the installed A380X build offers a cabin-rendering, cabin-detail or performance switch, make sure it has not been disabled. Reload the aircraft after changing model-related options.

Why can I see the cockpit but not the cabin?

The symptom usually identifies whether this is normal camera behaviour or a damaged installation.

How do I fix a genuinely missing A380X cabin?

A cabin that remains absent at close range in cockpit-camera mode points to the aircraft package rather than a normal MSFS camera limitation.

  1. Confirm the base aircraft. Select the actual FlyByWire A380X, not a generic A380, an AI aircraft or a livery installed without its required base package.
  2. Update the A380X. Follow the safe A380X update process and confirm that the installer is targeting the Community folder used by that copy of MSFS.
  3. Remove duplicate packages. Quit MSFS and check for older manual, development or renamed A380X folders. MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024 can use different active package locations, so editing the wrong Community folder changes nothing.
  4. Test the base aircraft alone. Temporarily remove A380X liveries and other aircraft modifications. If the cabin returns, restore them individually until the conflicting package is identified.
  5. Reinstall rather than overwriting. Delete the failed A380X package through the supported method, then install a fresh copy. Overwriting an old build can leave obsolete model or texture files in place.

If the entire aircraft has missing textures, blank displays or other broken components as well, use our A380X package and add-on conflict checks. A clean, updated A380X that displays its cabin in cockpit view is installed correctly, even if that interior becomes simplified or invisible when viewed through the external model.
