Does GSX Pro work with MSFS 2024 and how do I set it up?

Yes. GSX Pro works with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 on Windows PC when installed and updated through the FSDT Universal Installer. It is unavailable on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro because consoles cannot run its external Couatl process or install the required Community packages.
Which GSX version and MSFS 2024 platforms are supported?
GSX Pro on Windows PC is supported. The older GSX and GSX Level 2 products made for FSX or Prepar3D are not MSFS 2024 add-ons.

Both the Steam and Microsoft Store PC editions can run GSX Pro. Their package locations differ, so the installer must point to the active MSFS 2024 Community folder.
Cloud streaming the Xbox edition to a PC does not add support. The simulator itself must be the Windows PC edition.
How do you install GSX Pro in MSFS 2024?
Use the FSDT Universal Installer rather than copying an MSFS 2020 installation or moving the visible GSX package manually.
- Run MSFS 2024 once: let the simulator create its package folders, then close it completely.
- Update the installer: open the Universal Installer and accept its offered installer and component updates.
- Select MSFS 2024: do not choose the similarly named MSFS 2020 entry if both simulators are installed.
- Install and activate GSX Pro: complete activation with the licence details associated with your purchase.
- Verify the Community link: confirm that the installer created or manages the required links in MSFS 2024's active
Communityfolder. Check the destination carefully when using a custom Packages location. - Start the simulator: Couatl should be running and the GSX panel should appear in the in-sim toolbar. Allow the external component through Windows security prompts when requested.
- Test at a parking stand: load a supported airliner at a recognised gate, set the parking brake and shut down the engines. Open GSX and check that it identifies the airport and stand.
A mistake we see constantly is linking an otherwise correct installation to the MSFS 2020 Community folder. The two simulators' Community links are not interchangeable, and copying the visible package does not configure Couatl or the required links.
What do you do after GSX appears in the toolbar?
GSX services must normally be requested from its menu rather than starting automatically. A typical turnaround progresses through the jetway or stairs, deboarding, catering, refuelling and baggage, boarding, door closure and pushback; the available commands depend on the aircraft and stand. Do all MSFS 2024 aircraft and airports work with GSX?
GSX can provide basic services in many situations, but accurate doors, vehicles, passenger routes, stop positions and pushbacks depend on the aircraft model, scenery data and profiles.
- Aircraft profiles define door and cargo positions, passenger paths and service-vehicle placement.
- Airport profiles refine stand positions, marshallers, ground handlers and pushback routes where scenery data does not match the visible gate.
- Scenery updates can change parking records or layouts, making an older profile misaligned even though GSX itself still works.
Use a profile only when it matches the exact aircraft variant or airport scenery release. An MSFS 2020 profile is not automatically suitable for a separate MSFS 2024-native add-on; a mismatch can cause floating passengers, misplaced stairs, incorrect doors or bad pushback routes.
Why is GSX Pro not showing or Couatl not running?
If GSX is missing at every airport, suspect its installation, Community link or Couatl process. If it fails only with one aircraft or airport, suspect that add-on, its scenery data or a mismatched profile.
- No GSX toolbar panel: rerun the Universal Installer, update all GSX components and confirm that the MSFS 2024 toolbar package is installed and enabled in the active Community folder.
- Couatl does not start: close the simulator, restart the external component and check whether Windows security software blocked or quarantined it.
- Services are unavailable: move to a recognised parking stand, apply the parking brake and satisfy the aircraft-state instructions shown by GSX.
- Vehicles, passengers or jetways are misplaced: temporarily remove the relevant profile and verify that it matches the installed aircraft or scenery version.
- Duplicate vehicles or conflicting pushback: do not run another ground-service or pushback system for the same operation.
- Problems began after an update: update GSX and allow its airport data to rebuild before replacing profiles or reinstalling anything.
