Which KJFK GSX profile should I use?
Use the profile built for the exact KJFK scenery package and simulator edition installed on your PC. A profile for the stock airport will not reliably align with a third-party KJFK, and profiles made for two different third-party renditions are not interchangeable.

Profiles are commonly supplied separately or included with airport scenery. GSX can still provide basic services at KJFK without one, but its automatically generated positions and pushbacks may be less accurate. These installation methods apply to PC; consoles do not provide access to the AppData folders or desktop GSX tools.
How do I install a KJFK GSX profile?
We recommend GSX Pro Profile Manager because it reduces the risk of assigning the profile to the wrong KJFK package.
- Identify your KJFK scenery. Check the simulator’s installed-content library or the airport package documentation. Do not assume that every KJFK profile supports the default airport.
- Confirm GSX Pro is working. Load Microsoft Flight Simulator at another airport and verify that the GSX menu opens. A profile cannot repair a missing or broken GSX installation.
- Extract the download. Open the archive and read its supplied instructions. The airport profile normally includes an

- Use manual installation only when required. Copy the extracted profile files into the appropriate roaming AppData folder:

- Reload GSX. Restart Couatl using the available GSX restart command, or close and reopen the simulator. Then load KJFK at a parking stand and check the airport customisation screen.
If the destination folder does not exist, run GSX once or use Profile Manager rather than creating an uncertain folder structure yourself. A mistake we see constantly is copying the entire downloaded directory into AppData, leaving the actual .ini file one folder too deep.
How do I know the KJFK profile loaded?
The GSX airport customisation screen should identify the profile being used for KJFK. Test a gate covered by the profile and check the aircraft stopping point, jetway position and named pushback choices.
Generic GSX services appearing at the airport do not prove that the custom profile loaded; GSX can generate basic airport data without one. If no custom profile is shown, check the simulator-specific AppData folder, remove any extra nested directory and confirm that Profile Manager matched the correct scenery package.
Why are the KJFK gates or pushbacks misaligned?
Misplaced marshallers, vehicles inside terminals and incorrect pushback routes usually mean the KJFK profile does not match the active airport layout.
- Wrong scenery edition: replace the profile with one made for your default or third-party KJFK.
- Airport updated: obtain a compatible profile or rematch it after the scenery update. Gate coordinates and package references can change.
- Duplicate KJFK packages: disable the airport version you are not using. Two active renditions can make GSX read different data from the scenery shown in the simulator.
- Wrong profile folder: MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024 use separate GSX profile locations.
- Jetway conflict: if the KJFK scenery supplies its own animated jetways, follow its instructions and use the GSX installer’s airport-exclusion option where required. A profile alone does not resolve competing jetway systems.
