Yes. GSX airport profiles are available for KLAX in Microsoft Flight Simulator, including profiles for the default airport and several third-party scenery packages. Install only the profile made for your exact KLAX scenery, extract its files into the GSX MSFS profile folder, then restart Couatl or the simulator and verify it at a gate.
A GSX profile is configuration data rather than airport scenery. It can define stand positions, service-vehicle placement, passenger routes, stopping points and custom pushbacks, but it does not install terminals, runways or other scenery objects.
Which KLAX GSX profile should I download?
Choose a profile by scenery package and simulator generation, not by the KLAX airport code alone. GSX associates a profile with the airport data file—often called the AFCAD or BGL—used by a particular scenery package.

If no matching profile exists, GSX can still provide its generic services using the airport data it detects. What you lose is the airport-specific positioning and customised pushback logic.
How do I install a KLAX GSX profile manually?
Manual installation means copying the extracted airport-profile files to %APPDATA%\Virtuali\GSX\MSFS. Do not place a GSX profile in the MSFS Community folder; it is not a conventional scenery mod.
- Confirm GSX Pro is working. Start Microsoft Flight Simulator and make sure the GSX menu and Couatl engine load. If they do not, resolve the base installation first using our GSX Pro installation and update instructions.
- Identify your KLAX package. Confirm whether you use the stock airport or a specific third-party edition. Disable any duplicate KLAX scenery before proceeding.
- Extract the download. Open the downloaded archive rather than copying the archive itself. Locate the airport profile’s
.inifile and any companion files included by its creator. - Open the GSX profile folder. Press Windows key plus R, enter
%APPDATA%\Virtuali\GSX\MSFS, and press Enter. If that directory is absent, run GSX successfully once so it can create its user folders. - Copy the supplied files. Place the profile files directly in the MSFS profile directory unless the included instructions specify a different arrangement. Preserve their original filenames.
- Remove conflicting KLAX profiles. Move obsolete profiles for the same scenery to a backup folder outside the GSX directory. Do not leave several versions targeting the same airport data file.
- Reload GSX. Restart Couatl or close and reopen Microsoft Flight Simulator so the new profile is read.

How can I tell whether GSX loaded the KLAX profile?
The quickest check is to start at a KLAX parking stand covered by the profile and compare GSX’s behaviour with the profile description. Look for the expected pushback choices, correctly positioned marshallers or docking guidance, and service vehicles that approach without clipping through terminal structures.
GSX’s airport customisation interface should also identify the airport data file it has detected. That file must belong to the same stock or third-party KLAX package named by the profile. A profile may produce no immediate visual change because it configures ground services rather than adding scenery models.
Why is the KLAX GSX profile missing or misaligned?
A KLAX profile that does not load is usually in the wrong folder or matched to a different airport data file. Work through the symptom rather than reinstalling every add-on.
- No profile effect: make sure the archive was extracted, the
.inifile is not buried inside an extra subfolder, and Couatl was restarted. - Vehicles or stop positions are offset: the profile targets another KLAX scenery edition or an older layout. Replace it with the exact package-specific version.
- The profile stopped working after a scenery update: the update may have renamed or replaced the airport BGL. Use an updated profile or rematch it through Profile Manager.
- Terminals or jetways are duplicated: two KLAX scenery packages are probably active. Disable the unwanted airport; changing the GSX profile will not remove duplicate scenery.
- GSX itself does not open: this is a GSX Pro or Couatl problem, not a KLAX profile problem. Repair or update GSX before troubleshooting the airport configuration.
GSX Pro and its user profiles require the Windows version of Microsoft Flight Simulator. They cannot be installed on Xbox or PlayStation consoles because Couatl and the profile files run outside the simulator.
