Install the PMDG 737 in MSFS 2024 via Operations Center or Marketplace, with platform steps and fixes when the aircraft does not appear.
To install the PMDG 737 in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 on PC, use PMDG Operations Center for a direct PMDG purchase, select the MSFS 2024 build, confirm its package path and install it. Marketplace purchases must instead be downloaded from MSFS 2024’s in-sim library; do not copy the MSFS 2020 aircraft manually.
Which PMDG 737 installation route should I use?
Your purchase source determines how the aircraft must be installed and updated.
| Purchase source | Platform | Installation method |
|---|---|---|
| Direct PMDG purchase | Windows PC | PMDG Operations Center with MSFS 2024 selected |
| In-sim Marketplace | PC or a supported console where the product is listed | MSFS 2024 Marketplace library |
Before downloading anything, confirm that your particular PMDG aircraft has an MSFS 2024-compatible build. The 737 variants can be separate products, so owning one variant does not automatically provide every other variant.
How do I install a directly purchased PMDG 737?
A PMDG Store purchase should be installed through PMDG Operations Center, not dragged manually into the Community folder.
- Close MSFS 2024. Installing while the simulator is running can leave the package undiscovered until the next restart.
- Open PMDG Operations Center. Update the application if prompted, then sign in with the account that owns the 737.
- Select MSFS 2024. Choose the MSFS 2024 simulator entry and the exact 737 product you purchased. If only an MSFS 2020 build appears, do not force that package into 2024.
- Check the package location. Let Operations Center detect the active MSFS 2024 Packages path. Override it only if you know the simulator uses a custom installation location.
- Install the aircraft. Allow the download and package installation to finish completely before closing Operations Center.
- Launch MSFS 2024. Search the aircraft selector for PMDG, Boeing or the specific 737 variant. The first load can take longer while the simulator initialises aircraft components.
Our detailed Operations Center setup instructions cover account selection, simulator selection and package-path checks in greater depth.
How do I install a Marketplace PMDG 737?
A Marketplace purchase must remain under the simulator’s own content management system.
- Sign in with the owning account. Use the same platform account associated with the purchase.
- Open the Marketplace library. Find the owned PMDG 737 package and check that it is offered for MSFS 2024 on that platform.
- Download or install the package. The precise library wording can vary, but the aircraft must show as installed or available locally rather than merely owned.
- Restart the simulator. Check the aircraft selector after the package has finished processing.
Do not install a second core-aircraft copy through Operations Center over a Marketplace package. Mixing the two distribution routes can create duplicate packages and make updates difficult to diagnose.
Can I copy the MSFS 2020 PMDG 737 into MSFS 2024?
No—install the dedicated compatible package supplied through Operations Center or the Marketplace instead of copying the MSFS 2020 folder.
A manually transferred aircraft may appear in the selector but still fail because its gauges, WASM modules or supporting files were packaged for the older simulator. Purchase entitlement and technical compatibility are also different issues: use whichever MSFS 2024 build your account is actually offered.
Why is the PMDG 737 not showing in MSFS 2024?
A missing aircraft usually means the wrong simulator build, account or Packages path was used.
- Wrong simulator selected: reopen Operations Center and confirm that it says MSFS 2024 rather than MSFS 2020.
- Wrong installation path: this is common on PCs with both simulators installed or with a custom Packages location. Our MSFS 2024 package and Community-folder guidance explains how to identify the active location.
- Wrong account: verify that Operations Center or the Marketplace is signed into the account that owns the relevant 737 variant.
- Aircraft filters enabled: clear favourites, activity and aircraft-type filters in the selector, then search by PMDG and the variant number.
- Old or duplicate package present: remove manually copied MSFS 2020 versions and reinstall through the correct manager.
- Incomplete download: check the package status, available storage and any security software notification that may have interrupted Operations Center.
If the aircraft itself loads but the cockpit displays are dark, the installation may be fine. The selected PMDG panel state can leave the 737 cold and dark; confirm electrical power or load a powered panel state before reinstalling the package.
Can I install the PMDG 737 on Xbox or PlayStation?
On Xbox Series X|S or PlayStation 5, the PMDG 737 can only be installed if a compatible version is offered through that console’s MSFS 2024 Marketplace.
Operations Center and manual package installations are PC-only. Do not assume that a direct PC licence or a purchase made through another platform automatically transfers to the console version.
How should I update the aircraft afterwards?
Update a directly purchased aircraft through Operations Center and a Marketplace aircraft through the simulator’s library.
Keeping the original distribution route avoids mismatched files. We explain the distinction in our PMDG 737 update instructions for each purchase source.
