Approach coverage on both alignments

DeLand Municipal–Sidney H Taylor Field has an RNAV (GPS) procedure for each end of both 05/23 and 12/30. That gives instrument approach coverage from all four runway directions, rather than concentrating procedures on a single end, but provides no approach type beyond RNAV (GPS). The 6,001 ft 12/30 offers 1,700 ft more runway than 05/23, making runway-length needs a clear distinction between the two alignments.

Regional chart context

Nearby procedure coverage varies sharply. Orlando Sanford International has the broadest set, while Daytona Beach and New Smyrna Beach also have more charts; Ormond Beach Municipal has comparable coverage, and Spruce Creek is much thinner. The Jacksonville Sectional adds wider-area VFR context around DeLand that the airport-specific instrument procedures do not provide.
