Parallel-runway procedure coverage

Denton Enterprise’s five approach plates serve all four ends of its two parallel runways, rather than concentrating instrument access on a single alignment. The mix of RNAV procedures with ILS and localiser options also provides both satellite-based and ground-based approach coverage. With 18 departure charts against five approach plates, the published set is notably weighted towards outbound procedures.

The 7,002 ft left runway is almost 2,000 ft longer than the parallel right runway, giving the field two distinct runway-length envelopes rather than matched strips.

Coverage around Denton

Perot Field/Fort Worth Alliance has the same chart count, while Addison is similarly well covered. Kenneth Copeland’s three-chart set is much thinner, whereas Dallas-Fort Worth International has substantially broader coverage. The sectional, terminal-area and helicopter-route sheets add regional, local terminal and helicopter-specific VFR context beyond the instrument procedures.
