Danbury’s five approaches are concentrated on two of its four runway ends, so instrument coverage does not extend to every landing direction. Four RNAV (GPS) procedures provide most of the set, with one localiser approach adding a ground-based option. The two runway alignments differ substantially in length: the shorter is 1,286 ft below the 4,421-ft runway, making runway requirement a defining factor in aircraft planning.
Bridgeport/Sikorsky has chart coverage equal in size to Danbury’s, while Hudson Valley Regional is close behind and Westchester County has a notably broader set. Sky Acres is much more lightly covered. The New York Sectional and Terminal Area Chart add VFR coverage at regional and terminal-area scales beyond the airport-specific instrument procedures.
