Westchester County’s instrument procedures serve only two of its four runway ends. The mix of ILS, localiser and RNAV (GPS) approaches therefore provides several procedure types for the same limited set of landing directions rather than coverage around the full runway configuration. Runway length is also uneven: any aircraft requiring more than 4,451 ft must use the 6,549 ft runway, as 11/29 cannot provide that distance.
Nearby chart coverage varies considerably. LaGuardia and John F Kennedy International have substantially broader procedure sets, while Teterboro is close to Westchester County’s total. Republic is somewhat thinner and Danbury Municipal has the lightest coverage listed.
