New Bedford Regional’s procedure set serves all four ends of its two-runway layout, rather than concentrating instrument access on one direction. RNAV (GPS) provides most of the coverage, while the ILS and localiser procedures add non-GPS options. As the runways differ by less than 400 ft in length, the second alignment adds little extra usable distance; its main distinction is direction.
Cape Cod Coast Guard Air Station has the broadest nearby procedure set, at a similar scale to New Bedford’s, while Plymouth Municipal is also relatively well covered. Newport State, Taunton Municipal/King Field and especially Falmouth Airpark have thinner sets. The New York Sectional supplies wider VFR context, complemented by the more focused Boston Terminal Area Chart.
