Instrument coverage

At Gaylord Regional, instrument coverage reaches only two of the four ends formed by runways 09/27 and 18/36. The three approach plates provide ILS, localiser and RNAV (GPS) options, concentrating published arrivals on selected runway ends rather than both runways as a whole. The 2,379 ft difference between the two runway lengths makes the chosen alignment materially significant for available landing or take-off distance. No airport diagram is published.

Regional chart context

Grayling AAF has slightly broader procedure coverage, with six charts against Gaylord’s five. Harbor Springs is close behind with four, while Boyne Mountain, Boyne City Municipal and Antrim County each have thinner three-chart sets. The Green Bay and Lake Huron sectionals add broader VFR context beyond the airport-specific instrument procedures.
