Procedure coverage at Grayling AAF

All three published approaches converge on a single runway end, even though Grayling AAF has four ends across two runways. The RNAV (GPS), VOR and NDB procedures provide three navigation methods, but no instrument procedure is published for the other three arrival directions. The two runways are almost identical in length, so changing alignment does not entail a meaningful loss of available runway distance.

Regional chart context

Gaylord Regional’s five-chart set is closest in coverage to Grayling’s six, while Roscommon County/Blodgett Memorial is somewhat thinner and the remaining listed fields each have half as many published charts. The Green Bay and Lake Huron sectionals add broader VFR geographic and airspace context beyond the airport-specific terminal procedures.
