GRK’s seven approach plates serve both ends of runway 15/33 and combine ILS, localiser, RNAV (GPS), VOR and helicopter procedures. This gives the field several navigation methods rather than concentrating coverage on a single approach type. The 9,997 ft runway provides the sole fixed-wing alignment, while three separate helicopter pads complement the published helicopter approach.
Georgetown Executive is the only listed nearby airport with broader chart coverage. Skylark Field has around half as many published charts as GRK, while Draughon-Miller, Lampasas and Burnet have markedly thinner sets. The Houston and San Antonio sectional charts add regional visual context beyond the terminal procedures, with GRK covered on both sheets.
