LaGuardia’s two 7,002 ft runways present four runway ends, and all four have published approach coverage. With 19 approach plates spanning ILS, RNAV (GPS), localiser and helicopter procedures, the coverage is layered rather than limited to one procedure per direction. Nine departure procedures and eight arrival procedures also give the chart set a near-even balance between outbound and inbound routing. Both runways offer the same length, so changing alignment does not provide a longer runway option; H1 is separately identified as a 45 ft helipad.
Newark has a broader chart set, while John F Kennedy is comparable in scale. Teterboro and Westchester County have roughly half as many charts, and Linden’s coverage is much thinner. The Sectional and Terminal Area charts add VFR context, while the Helicopter Route Chart complements the dedicated helicopter procedures and H1.
