New Century AirCenter has instrument coverage for all four ends of its two runways. Four RNAV (GPS) procedures provide the main approach coverage, supplemented by ILS and localiser options. The six departure procedures and five arrival routes also show that the set extends well beyond approaches. Runway 18/36 offers 2,207 ft more length than 04/22, while the differing alignments provide two distinct runway orientations.
Johnson County Executive and Kansas City Downtown/Wheeler Field have chart sets comparable in breadth to KIXD. Lawrence Regional has a smaller but still varied collection, while Miami County and Ottawa Municipal have much thinner procedure coverage. The Kansas City Sectional supplies broader visual context, and the Terminal Area Chart adds a more detailed view around the terminal area than the airport-specific instrument procedures provide.
