Johnson County Executive’s single 4,097 ft runway has published instrument approaches to both ends, so procedure coverage is not confined to one landing direction. The four approaches are evenly split between RNAV (GPS) and localiser procedures. Six departure procedures make the set more departure-heavy than its approach count suggests. With only runway 18/36, however, there is no second runway alignment represented in the chart set.
Nearby procedure coverage is broadly comparable at New Century Aircenter, Kansas City Downtown/Wheeler Field and Kansas City/Lee’s Summit Regional. Miami County and Lawrence Smith Memorial have much thinner published sets. For visual planning, the Kansas City Sectional supplies the wider-area picture, while the Kansas City Terminal Area Chart adds more focused coverage around the terminal area.
