Kansas City/Lee's Summit Regional has instrument approaches to all four runway ends, so the chart set is not concentrated on a single alignment. Four of the five approaches are RNAV (GPS), making satellite-based procedures predominant, while the VOR procedure provides the sole non-GPS approach. Runway 18/36 offers 1,501 ft more length than 11/29, giving aircraft with greater runway-length needs a clear distinction between the two alignments.
Kansas City Downtown/Wheeler Field and Johnson County Executive have chart sets comparable in breadth to KLXT, with Midwest National Air Center only somewhat thinner. East Kansas City and Lawrence Smith Memorial have much more limited published coverage.
