Concentrated approach coverage

Gulf Shores International/Jack Edwards Field has instrument approaches to only two of its four runway ends, so coverage is concentrated rather than available on every alignment. Three plates encompass ILS, localiser and two RNAV (GPS) options, giving the served ends both conventional and GPS-based procedures. At almost twice the length of 17/35, runway 09/27 provides substantially more distance for aircraft with greater runway-length needs.

Nearby chart coverage

KNPA has by far the broadest chart set among the nearby fields, while KPNS and KBFM also have more extensive coverage than JKA. KCQF is comparable in scale and 5R4 is distinctly thinner.
