Beaufort MCAS has instrument procedures serving all four ends of its two runways. The mix of ILS, localiser and RNAV (GPS) procedures provides more than one form of approach coverage rather than concentrating the chart set on a single alignment. At 12,202 ft and 8,001 ft, both runways are substantial in length, so the crossing configuration offers two usable alignments without the second runway being merely a short auxiliary strip.
Savannah/Hilton Head International has nearly comparable procedure coverage, while Hilton Head, Lowcountry Regional and Hunter AAF have markedly thinner sets. Beaufort Executive, the closest listed field, has the smallest collection. The Charlotte Sectional supplies the wider-area VFR depiction that the airport diagram and terminal procedures do not provide.
