At New River MCAS, eight instrument approach procedures cover all four ends of runways 01/19 and 05/23. The four RNAV (GPS) approach types therefore provide coverage across both runway alignments rather than concentrating procedures on a single end. The two runways are also close in length: the 5,125 ft runway exceeds the 4,789 ft runway by only 336 ft, so neither offers a substantially longer option.
Cherry Point MCAS has the broadest nearby procedure set, while Coastal Carolina Regional and Albert J Ellis have moderately thinner coverage. Duplin County and Wallace-Pender have much smaller chart sets. The Charlotte Sectional complements the terminal procedures with wider-area VFR context around Jacksonville and the surrounding airports.
