Approach and runway coverage

Coastal Carolina Regional’s approach provision combines satellite-based and conventional procedures: two RNAV (GPS) approaches sit alongside ILS, localiser and VOR options. Coverage is concentrated on two of the airport’s four runway ends, so the crossing runway layout does not provide instrument procedures for every alignment. Runway 04/22 is 2,451 ft longer than 14/32, making available runway length materially different between the two alignments.

Coverage beyond EWN

Nearby chart coverage varies noticeably. Cherry Point MCAS has the broadest set, followed by New River MCAS, while Michael J Smith Field is close to EWN’s total. Washington-Warren and Albert J Ellis have slightly thinner collections. The Charlotte Sectional adds the wider visual-navigation context around New Bern that the airport-specific instrument procedures do not show.
