KOKB’s three approaches serve both ends of its sole runway, rather than concentrating instrument access on one direction. Two are RNAV (GPS) procedures and one is VOR-based, so satellite navigation forms the larger part of the arrival coverage. The 2,712 ft runway makes required take-off and landing distance a defining consideration for aircraft using the field. No dedicated airport diagram is published.
KNFG, KCRQ and KNKX each have twice KOKB’s chart coverage, while L18 and especially F70 have much thinner procedure sets. The Los Angeles Sectional supplies wider regional VFR context, and the San Diego Terminal Area Chart adds more detailed VFR coverage around Oceanside than the instrument procedures provide.
