Ramona’s three instrument approaches all converge on a single end of runway 09/27. The two RNAV (GPS) procedures and one VOR procedure provide satellite-based and conventional guidance, but no published approach serves the reciprocal end. With only one 5,001 ft fixed-wing runway, the layout offers no second runway alignment; the separate 340 ft H1 is the helicopter landing area. The airport diagram clarifies the runway, helipad and ground layout.
Among nearby fields, Montgomery-Gibbs Executive matches Ramona’s eight-chart coverage, while Gillespie Field is only slightly broader. Miramar MCAS and McClellan-Palomar each have broader sets, and San Diego International’s coverage is markedly larger. The Los Angeles and Phoenix sectionals place Ramona in wider VFR context, while the San Diego Terminal Area Chart adds a more detailed terminal-area view.
