A compact procedure set

Fallbrook’s fixed-wing operations are centred on a single 2,150 ft runway, making available runway distance a defining constraint on aircraft use. H1 provides a separate 45 ft helicopter landing area. Instrument coverage is narrow: one published approach offers no choice among multiple arrival procedures, while the ODP supplies a documented departure procedure.

Coverage around Fallbrook

KNFG and KCRQ each have 14 charts, giving both much broader procedural coverage than Fallbrook. KOKB and KRNM also have larger sets, while F70’s two-chart collection is thinner. For visual flying, the Los Angeles Sectional supplies wider-area context and the San Diego Terminal Area Chart adds more detailed terminal-area information beyond the instrument procedure set.

Common questions about L18

What charts are available for L18?

4 current FAA charts for Fallbrook Community Airpark, including 1 instrument approach. All are free to download as PDFs from this page, from the 6 August 2026 cycle.

What are the radio frequencies for L18?

CTAF 123.05. Full civil VHF list, with sector notes, is in the frequencies table on this page — from the FAA NASR subscription.

How long is the runway at L18?

Which runway do instrument approaches serve at L18?

Every published approach serves one runway end. There is no instrument procedure to the reciprocal direction, so an arrival in instrument conditions commits to that single approach direction regardless of the wind.

Is L18 a towered airport?

No — Fallbrook Community Airpark has no control tower. Traffic co-ordinates on a common frequency rather than with a controller, which is listed in the frequencies table on this page.

Are these L18 charts current?

They are from the FAA cycle effective 6 August 2026, which is superseded on 3 September 2026. We publish each new cycle on its effective date. They are for flight simulation and reference only — not for real-world navigation.
