Pope AAF’s four approach charts all serve a single runway end. The mix includes ILS, localiser and RNAV (GPS) procedures, giving that end both ground-based and satellite-based coverage while leaving the opposite end without a published approach. The 7,501 ft concrete runway is more than twice the length of the separate 3,000 ft asphalt runway, so the two strips provide markedly different available distances.
Fayetteville Regional/Grannis Field has the broadest nearby procedure set, with more than twice Pope AAF’s chart count. Moore County matches Pope’s total, while Simmons AAF, P K Airpark and Harnett Regional Jetport have thinner coverage. The Charlotte Sectional adds the wider VFR context not provided by the airport diagram and instrument procedures.
