Richmond County’s sole approach is an RNAV (GPS) procedure serving just one runway end. Instrument arrivals are therefore concentrated on a single direction; the reciprocal end and both ends of the other runway have no published approach this cycle. The two-runway layout does not translate into multiple instrument options.
The 5,001 ft asphalt runway is 1,992 ft longer than the 3,009 ft turf runway, a material difference for aircraft requiring more runway length or a paved surface. Among nearby fields, Anson County/Jeff Cloud Field has notably broader procedure coverage, while Marlboro County Jetport/H E Avent Field has the thinnest nearby set, though still slightly more coverage than Richmond County. The Charlotte Sectional adds regional visual-navigation context absent from the instrument procedures.
