Cecil combines four runways and two helipads with seven instrument approaches, but those procedures serve only four of the eight runway ends. Four RNAV (GPS) procedures provide most of the coverage, while the ILS, localiser and VOR procedures add ground-based options. The result is a varied but selective set rather than equivalent instrument coverage for every available alignment.
The runway lengths range from 4,439 ft to 12,504 ft. Only 18L/36R exceeds 8,003 ft, so any use requiring more runway than that is confined to this one strip; the airport diagram is therefore especially useful for understanding the layout. Nearby KNIP and KCRG have chart sets close in size to Cecil’s, KJAX has substantially broader coverage, and KHEG and 42J are much thinner. The Jacksonville Sectional supplies the wider visual context absent from the terminal procedures.
