Stanly County’s procedure set is weighted strongly towards departures, with 15 departure charts against three approach plates. Those approaches combine one ILS, one localiser and two RNAV (GPS) procedures, but serve only two of the four runway ends. Instrument arrival coverage is therefore concentrated rather than distributed across both ends of both parallel runways.
The 5,499 ft runway provides 1,998 ft more length than its 3,501 ft parallel, making runway length a significant distinction between the two strips. Among nearby fields, Mid-Carolina Regional has almost matching chart coverage, while the other listed airports have much thinner sets of three to ten charts. The Charlotte Sectional supplies wider VFR context, while the Charlotte Terminal Area Chart adds a more detailed view around the airport.
