FSX Short Belfast

Alphasim’s Short Belfast brings classic turboprop heavy-lift cargo flying to FSX with a converted model, included virtual cockpit, and a familiar default 747-400 panel for straightforward operation. Three liveries ship in the package, covering new and old HeavyLift schemes plus an RAF finish, for varied era-appropriate routes.

Thank you for choosing the Alphasim Short Belfast. This includes the new HeavyLift livery, the old HeavyLift livery, and the RAF livery. Transmeridian Air Cargo also operated the Belfast, but the texture isn't included. The plane is originally for FS2004, but converted for FSX use. It uses the default 747-400 panel. VC is included. Model by Alphasim.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D add-on

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place files per the readme

    Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.

  3. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
