Raron Airport (LSMN) brings the Valais valley near Visp to life with accurately placed airport layout and terrain context drawn from contemporary mapping references, plus a fully usable runway tuned for broader aircraft operations, including jets. Built for FSX, the scenery adds practical ramp details and hangars for believable alpine regional flying.

Flight Simulator X Prepar3D

(LSMN), Visp, Valais/Wallis, Switzerland. The scenery is located in the valley of Valais in Switzerland. The airport is placed with images of Google maps, Skyguide and Ourairport. Full runway made usable, sorry for the fictional scenery, but wanted to make it usable with jets. By Michael Bruttel.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

    Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.

  3. Activate in Scenery Library

    In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.

  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
