FSX Sim Panel Connect Demo

Sim Panel Connect Demo links Phidget cockpit hardware to Flight Simulator X, driving USB servos, sliders, and an 8/8/8 text LCD for COM1 and NAV1 readouts plus throttle, mixture, flaps, airspeed, and RPM indications. Software-only and ideal for evaluation, it requires SimConnect and the Phidget library.

Flight Simulator X Prepar3D

Sim Panel Connect Demo has been written to connect Phidget components to FSX for flight sim cockpit builders. The demo version will connect a Phidget USB servo controller (running Hitec rc servos) as well as the Phidget Text LCD with 8/8/8 Interface. The demo will provide com1 nav1 readouts via the text lcd, throttle, mixture and flap controls through Phidget sliders, as well as airspeed and Engine RPM via HiTec servos and the Phidget servo controller. This program is software only and meant for evaluation purposes, A full single engine VFR version is available. It is the builder's responsibility to obtain his/her own phidget components. The program requires FSX, Simconnect, and the phidget library.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D panel / gauge

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place panel files

    Panel files go inside FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\{aircraft}\panel\. Back up the existing panel folder first.

  3. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
