FSX Orbit Boeing 737-700

Orbit Airlines Boeing 737-700 brings a polished Project Open Sky model and crisp livery by Frank Leser to Microsoft Flight Simulator X, paired with the familiar default 737-800 virtual cockpit, panel, and sounds. It requires the FSX 737NG 737-800 Winglet model and includes textures and lightmaps for clean day and night presentation.

Flight Simulator X Prepar3D

This is a complete Project Open Sky FSX aircraft but it uses the default Microsoft FSX B737-800 sounds, panel, interior model and textures. Repaint by Frank Leser.

Installation:

  • Install the existing 737NG 737-800 Winglet model to FSX.
  • Download the Posky 737NG Aircraft and install as the instruction included in the aircraft's set. (The install folder has been changed from Aircrafts to SimObjects\Airplanes at FSX so you have to.)
  • Copy the model folder and texture folder to the installed aircraft folder. This will replace the model.cfg and copy the model file and transparent settings texture to the texture files for a transparent parts.
  • Also some downloads doesn't have a Lightmap (Night texture) on some parts So better copy the missing files from the included "Incase_Parts_Looks_broken_add_Lightmaps" folder of this set.
  • And this is all. Of course, better edit the aircraft.cfg's to show up in the menu.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D aircraft

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Copy aircraft files into SimObjects

    Place the aircraft folder inside FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\. The folder must contain an aircraft.cfg file. Effects go into FSX\Effects\; gauges go into FSX\Gauges\.

  3. Verify in FSX

    Launch FSX, go to Free Flight → Select Aircraft and find your new aircraft under its manufacturer.

  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
