Editorial

One of the things that always made me feel quite uncomfortable using FSX was the lack of good sound that was included. It’s a major problem and can be a major contributor in just killing the atmosphere and realism stone dead when everything sounds the sounds.

With this mod, though, you can finally get a nice change to the record. The PW4000 series is a popular engine model that has been used in many aircraft, and now I – and you – can enjoy the sounds that they make with absolute ease. A lot of the sounds in here were taped from an actual aircraft in action so you can hear the authentic sounds taken direct from the aircraft.

A lot of the sounds that are taped are very impressive and do a marvelous job of helping to form the right kind of atmosphere in the cockpit. If you are like myself and miss the right sounds then this can give you the proper sounds that you would expected to have heard originally.

This is just for FSX, by the way, in case you try and run it with FS2004. It works perfectly well with FSX, though, so you can install it on your FSX machine and enjoy a pristine, deep level of realism as you fly.

Nemureru Nyanko has done a fine job on putting together a convincing and deeply enjoyable sound set that really does typify the deep, energizing roar of the PW4000 set. If you are desperate for realism and want to have something that helps you get that extra step closer then be sure to check it out.

This really helps you understand what the most important element of realism can be – the sounds help you appreciate the world more and fly your aircraft with more accuracy. I would certainly be recommending this to anyone who needs a cool, classy and effective PW4000 sound set that just works.
