FSX NAS Mayport Scenery

NAS Mayport (KNRB) scenery refresh for FSX enhances the stock naval air station with expanded military parking, corrected taxiways and aprons, an updated fire station with trucks, plus static vehicles, lighting, and detailed lots based on current diagrams and satellite references. Optional ships and the Mayport Lighthouse require Ultimate Terrain USA for accurate placement.

NAS Mayport Scenery.

MS didn't do much with military bases in FSX. Here is an improved version of the stock NAS Mayport. I added many Military_Combat parking spaces. Replaced the fire station and added fire trucks, humvees, parking lots with cars and light poles. Added, removed, or adjusted taxiways and aprons per Google Earth.

I use Just Flight's Military Plus Packs and they work fine with this airport. I also use Ultimate Terrain and FSGenesis landclass but they are not required. All objects are stock FSX so no additional object libraries are needed. Updates made using AirNav diagrams and Google Earth to be as accurate as possible. All work done with Flight 1's AFX program and Instant Scenery.

I will be doing other military bases as time permits.

INSTALLATION:

Extract the two files AFX_KNRB_JC.bgl and KNRB_JC.bgl into your Addon Scenery/Scenery folder, re-start FSX and enjoy.

The additional file, KNRB_ships_JC.bgl, adds several Naval ships to the area plus the Mayport Lighthouse. It will only place these objects accurately if you have Utimate Terrain USA installed.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

Finding the scenery

Use these coordinates to fly directly to this location once the mod is installed.
